The Bridge Bendigo is seeking an experienced Cook to join its kitchen team in Bendigo, VIC. You will prepare, season and cook pub-style and bistro meals following established recipes and presentation standards.

You will operate commercial ovens, grills and fryers, monitor temperatures, accommodate dietary requirements and assist with catering for functions and events. Full-time role with salary $75,000–$85,000 per year plus Superannuation.

Formación

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant.
• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery for entry to this role.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion controls and kitchen procedures.
• Knowledge of vegetarian, gluten-free and other dietary requirements.
• Experience using ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Strong organisational, time-management and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, season and cook pub-style and bistro dishes per recipes and standards.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before preparation.
• Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly for services and catering.
• Operate and regulate ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment.
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, flavour and presentation; adjust as needed.
• Store, rotate and refrigerate ingredients safely and assist with stock management.
