Cancer Council Queensland is seeking a part-time psychologist to join its Psychology Service in Rockhampton. You will deliver evidence-based counselling via telephone, video conferencing and face-to-face to clients affected by cancer.
This permanent 22.5-hour role offers a regional caseload, monthly supervision, and opportunities for professional development within a trauma-informed, strengths-based team.

As part of CCQ's Psychology Service, our psychologists deliver evidence-based counselling interventions via phone, video conferencing and face to face. Our clients are people impacted by cancer – including the person diagnosed with cancer, the person providing care to a diagnosed person, or a family member. Our programs promote the psychological adjustment of people affected by cancer.
This role is a part-time, permanent position (22.5 hours per week, paying $53-$55 per hour) and can be based out of our Rockhampton Lodge.
We are a trauma-informed, and strengths-based, service. Our team is comprised of Health and Clinical Psychologists, currently located in Brisbane, Cairns, and Townsville, but with the aim to place a psychologist in more regional areas to increase availability and accessibility to persons experiencing cancer.
As a regionally based psychologist, you will receive a diverse caseload, and will have the opportunity to attend local, cancer-relevant community events. You will have access to free individual supervision with our Senior Psychologist (towards your CPD hours) as well as peer supervision amongst the team, both monthly. We also offer professional development opportunities.
