Job summary

Canberra Child Psychiatry Centre – Deakin ACT invites psychologists to join two established Canberra practices blending child and adult mental health care. The centres operate separately with their own teams, providing multidisciplinary case discussion and integrated psychology with medical colleagues.

You will work across presentations including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, chronic pain in adults, and family-focused therapy, with modalities such as CBT, ACT, EMDR, and DBT.

Qualifications

• Full AHPRA registration (Provisional psychologists will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Current Working With Vulnerable People registration and police check
• Interest in multidisciplinary practice—central to how both centres work
• Attractive remuneration—with a competitive salary for employed and provisional psychologists, or a generous contractor percentage for general and clinical psychologists

Responsibilities

• Individual consultations with clients and, where relevant, their families
• Participation in multidisciplinary case discussion with medical and allied health colleagues
• Record keeping in line with AHPRA and APS requirements
• Communication with relevant stakeholders—schools, GPs, specialists, insurers, families and the internal allied health team
