Job summary

Early Start Australia is seeking an Experienced Registered Assessment Psychologist to join a locally supported allied health team in Canberra. You will conduct new client assessments, provide feedback to families, and issue reports within two weeks while coordinating therapy plans and multi-disciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA and Psychology Board of Australia.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Driver's Licence and vehicle.
• Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Registration (state specific).
• National Police Check.
• Accredited First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• New client assessments: prepare using referrals and questionnaires; conduct standardised and informal assessments; provide feedback and confirm therapy needs; complete reports within two weeks.
• Therapy programs: establish initial appointments, develop goal-based plans, provide home/school activities, monitor progress and update goals.
• Reporting and documentation: complete clinical notes within 24 hours; provide timely reports to stakeholders; record incidents as required.
• Funding & compliance: align therapy plans with funding (e.g. NDIS); participate in supervision and professional development; comply with policies and WHS and child safety.
