Job summary

Nurture and Thrive Psychology Rockhampton Pty Ltd in Rockhampton, QLD is seeking a psychologist or allied health practitioner to join as a contractor. You’ll work within an established practice with referrals ready to go, building your caseload quickly while collaborating with families, schools and GPs.

Full-time and part-time arrangements are welcome, and there is potential for ongoing employment for the right candidate. A furnished consulting room and admin support are provided.

• Full general registration with AHPRA and a Medicare provider number.
• ABN and professional indemnity insurance are required.
• Experience working with clients across the lifespan is essential.
• Able to commit to set days each week for at least six months.

About the role

This is a chance to work alongside some of Rockhampton's most experienced psychologists. We're looking for a psychologist to join Nurture and Thrive as a contractor. You'll come into an established practice with referrals ready to go, so you can build your caseload quickly without having to find clients yourself.

Our waitlist is mostly for psychology, so psychologists will fill their books fastest. We're also happy to hear from other allied health practitioners who'd like to work alongside our team.

You'll deliver therapy and assessments to children, teens and adults, working within your areas of interest and confidence, and collaborating with families, schools and GPs.

Full-time and part-time arrangements are all welcome.

While this is a contractor role, employment may also be an option for the right applicant if that's your preference.

What we provide

A furnished consulting room in the heart of Rockhampton

Referrals and a ready caseload

Reception and admin support from our admin team, including waitlist management, bookings, client payments, invoicing, Medicare and NDIS claiming, GP letters, printing and faxing

Practice marketing

Group supervision with psychologists and practice directors Kaylene Paradine, Emma Richards and Angylene Woltmann, Senior Psychologist Michelle Goodsall and Clinical Psychologist Steve Braun, plus case discussions and peer support

The arrangement

A competitive contractor arrangement, with full details provided on application

A minimum term of six months

You provide your own assessments, professional indemnity insurance and technology (i.e. laptop, phone, tablet), and manage your own tax and bookkeeping

About us

Established in 2019, Nurture & Thrive Psychology is a private practice in the heart of Rockhampton. Our senior team brings more than 90 years of combined experience as psychologists, including three Board-approved supervisors and a Clinical Psychologist who supervises for the clinical registrar program.

Between us, our work spans the lifespan, from early childhood assessment through to adult diagnosis and therapy. You'd be joining:

Kaylene Paradine, Director and Psychologist. Over 20 years working across the lifespan, with expertise in trauma and neurofeedback, and extensive experience in clinical supervision and training in trauma, positive parenting and behaviour support. Board-approved supervisor.

Emma Richards, Director and Psychologist. Over 15 years of experience, now working primarily with parents of neurodivergent children on emotional regulation, executive functioning, routines, sleep, eating, separation anxiety and alternative education pathways.

Angylene Woltmann, Director and Psychologist. Over 15 years working with children, adolescents and families, with extensive training and experience in childhood trauma.

Michelle Goodsall, Senior Psychologist. Over 18 years in neurodevelopmental assessment, including autism, ADHD and intellectual disability in children under 10, with a particular focus on early identification in children under 6. Board-approved supervisor.

Steve Braun, Clinical Psychologist. Over 25 years working with children, adolescents and adults, with a neuro-affirming approach, assessment for late diagnosis of autism and ADHD, and extensive experience in supervision and training. Board-approved supervisor, including for the clinical registrar program.

We support each other through case discussions, peer mentoring, sharing resources and celebrating wins, and we treat each other with kindness and professionalism at every level, from admin to directors.
