Job summary

Humanity Health Group in Sydney is seeking a Provisional Psychologist / Behaviour Support Practitioner to support older adults in residential aged care and community settings. You will assess, provide interventions, and develop behavioural plans for individuals with dementia and related concerns.

Applicants may be Provisional/Registered Psychologists or BSPs, with AHPRA registration preferred. The role offers flexible working, vehicle allowance, supervision and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Registered or Provisional Psychologist
• Experience with older adults, aged care, disability, mental health or community care
• Understanding of dementia, behaviours of concern, anxiety, grief and loss
• Strong communication, clinical and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Current Police Check and WWCC, or willingness to obtain them
• Full working rights in Australia and a driver's licence

At Humanity Health Group, we’re looking for a Provisional Psychologist, Registered Psychologist or Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) to join our team supporting older adults across residential aged care and community settings in Sydney

This is a rewarding opportunity to support older adults experiencing dementia, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties and behaviours of concern.

About the Role

You will:

• Provide psychological assessment, support and evidence-based interventions.

• Develop behavioural strategies and support plans for clients experiencing behaviours of concern.

• Work collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Support clients across residential aged care and community settings.

• Complete clinical documentation, progress notes and reports.

• Manage your own caseload with ongoing clinical supervision and support.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is AHPRA registered as a Registered or Provisional Psychologist, or has relevant Behaviour Support experience.

• Has experience working with older adults, aged care, disability, mental health, community care or a related setting.

• Has an understanding of dementia, behaviours of concern, anxiety, grief and loss.

• Has strong communication, clinical and report-writing skills.

• Can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Holds a current Police Check and WWCC, or is willing to obtain them.

• Has full working rights in Australia and a driver's licence.

BSP experience is highly regarded, but we are also open to Psychologists who are interested in developing their Behaviour Support skills.
