Job summary

Learning Links is seeking a permanent part-time Provisional Psychologist to provide evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for children and families in local schools across the Central Coast. The role requires involvement with children, families and schools, delivering high-quality services with commitment to child safety.

Ideal candidates will have provisional AHPRA registration, a 4-year psychology degree, and experience with WISC/WPPSI and WIAT assessments.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology (4-year equivalent).
• Provisional registration as a Psychologist through AHPRA under a 4+2, 5+1 or transitional pathway.
• Experience applying psychological assessment to clinical formulation and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention in schools and community settings.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Team Leader and partner schools to ensure consistency of service delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting for cognitive and academic assessments.
• Engage with families to build positive relationships and support child outcomes.

About the role

We are looking for a permanent part-time Provisional Psychologist who enjoys working with children, young people and families and takes pride in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention.

This role is ideal for someone available to work a minimum of three days per week, with the option to work full-time, and who can provide services in local schools across the Central Coast.

Reporting to the Psychology Team Leader, this role plays a key part in delivering high-quality psychological services across Learning Links' partner schools and community programs.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology (4-year equivalent).
• Provisional registration as a Psychologist through AHPRA under a 4+2, 5+1 or transitional pathway.
• Demonstrated ability to apply psychological assessment to clinical formulation and therapeutic intervention.
• Strong organisational and time management capability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with children and parents.
• Strong attention to detail, professional documentation and accountability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet required timeframes and respond to client and stakeholder needs.
• A proactive, collaborative, culturally responsive and positive approach to work.
• Willingness to travel with a current driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Competent in administering, interpreting and writing associated reports for cognitive (WISC, WPPSI) and academic (WIAT) assessments.
• Working with children presenting with Autism.
