Job summary

Ability Action Australia, part of the MedHealth Group, is seeking a Provisional Psychologist in Brisbane to support NDIS participants under AHPRA and NDIS guidelines. You will work within a supportive team, balancing in-office and at-home tasks to deliver client-centered therapy and comprehensive assessments.

The role involves case load management, collaboration with health professionals, supervision, and ongoing professional development to advance career within AAA and MedHealth.

Qualifications

• Must hold registration with AHPRA and be enrolled in ongoing professional development.
• Master's degree in psychology required.
• Demonstrated high ethical standards in professional practice.
• Requires Working with Children’s Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Driver's license (provisional minimum) with access to own car and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based, client-centered, confidential and culturally safe.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals.
• Manage and support your caseload and provide case management.
• Support participants and other stakeholders to develop and review support plans.
• Collaborate with other health professionals and stakeholders regarding client care.
• Complete case notes, reports and other correspondence per standards and ethical guidelines.
• Attend monthly team meetings and team-led in-services.
• Engage in weekly internal supervision with Team Leader.

Job Description

As the AAA Psychology team is rapidly growing, we are seeking a dedicated Provisional Psychologist to enter our supportive, respectful and professional workplace within in NDIS space.

At AAA, the Provisional Psychologist’s primary role is to support NDIS participants in line with AHPRA and NDIS regulations and client goals.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide high quality therapeutic evidenced-based and client-centered interventions in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments (using clinical observations and standardised assessments) and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals.
• Be responsible for supporting and managing your case load.
• Support Participants and other stakeholders to develop and review support plans.
• Collaborate with other Health Professionals and key stakeholders regarding client’s care.
• Complete case notes, reports and other correspondence in line with required standards, relevant legislative requirements and ethical guidelines.
• Attend monthly team meetings, and team led in-services.
• Engage in weekly internal supervision with the Team Leader

Qualifications
