Job summary

ACT is seeking an organised Agency Protective Security Officer to support the Directorate’s Security Advisors. The role focuses on implementing and reporting on the ACT Government Protective Security Framework and related security activities.

This temporary, full-time position runs from 3 December 2026 to 12 March 2027 and is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. The workplace uses activity-based working (ABW) and does not assign fixed desks.

Qualifications

• NV1 security clearance required (for the position).
• Temporary acting period available without NV1 for this short-term acting period.
• Mandatory eligibility for ACT Government officers and employees only.

Responsibilities

• Support Agency Security Advisors with implementing and reporting the ACT Government Protective Security Framework.
• Assist in day-to-day security activities and governance across the Directorate.
• Contribute to risk management, emergency planning and protective security tasks.
