Job summary

Thales Group in Australia is seeking a Protective Security Officer to safeguard people, assets and operations across Defence, aerospace and critical infrastructure environments. You will join our in‑house security team delivering frontline security support, incident response and site assurance activities with a professional security presence.

• Experience in incident response, access control and visitor management is highly regarded.

OUR TEAM

As a Protective Security Officer at Thales, you'll play a key role in safeguarding our people, assets and operations across Defence, aerospace and critical infrastructure environments. Working as part of our newly established in‑house security team, you'll deliver frontline security support, incident response and site assurance activities while providing a professional and visible security presence.

YOUR ROLE

• Maintain a visible security presence through patrols, site checks and security assurance activities
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies quickly and professionally
• Manage site access, visitor coordination and contractor approvals
• Support security compliance, reporting and risk management activities
• Build strong relationships with employees, visitors and stakeholders while promoting a positive security culture

Eligibility

Eligibility to obtain and maintain a relevant State or Territory Security Licence applicable to the role

AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITY

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
