Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II to design and analyse fluid and mechanical components for hybrid and liquid rocket engines in Australia. The role is based at our Yatala facility, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and offers the chance to work on in-house rocket propulsion programs.

You will develop CAD models, test stands and components, lead/test plans, and support manufacturing and launch operations with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 5+ years propulsion/ fluid system experience.
• 3+ years CAD experience (NX/Teamcenter preferred).
• 3+ years FEA/Multiphysics experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse fluid and mechanical components for hybrid and liquid rocket engines.
• Develop CAD models and drawings of test stands and rocket engine components.
• Formulate hardware test plans, support test campaigns, and evaluate experimental test results.
• Coordinate fabrication, assembly and integration of propulsion system elements.
• Support launch preparations and launch operations, as needed.
