Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II to join our innovative team. You will design and analyze propulsion components for hybrid and liquid rocket engines, develop CAD models, and support test campaigns.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in propulsion, strong CAD/FEA experience, and hands-on hardware testing; NV1 clearance is preferred. The role is based at our facility between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with opportunities to contribute to advancing Australian space

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of propulsion experience in a professional setting.
• 3+ years CAD experience (NX/Teamcenter preferred).
• 3+ years use of a commercial FEA or Multiphysics package (ANSYS preferred).
• 3+ years hands-on hardware fabrication, assembly and testing.
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse propulsion subsystems for hybrid and liquid engines.
• Develop CAD models and drawings of test stands and components.
• Formulate hardware test plans and evaluate results.
• Lead qualification tests of propulsion components.
• Coordinate fabrication, assembly and integration of propulsion elements.
• Support launch preparations and operations.
