Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking an experienced Actuarial Systems professional to join our team in Sydney. You will deliver system enhancements and development initiatives underpinning liability, capital valuations, embedded value reporting, and business planning.

Working with Finance and Actuarial stakeholders, you will ensure robust, efficient systems aligned with evolving business needs, balancing technical depth with business impact and strategic decision support.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary or near qualified with life insurance experience.
• 7+ years life insurance experience.
• Deep knowledge of Prophet (software) and model inputs/outputs.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Actuarial System team in design, build, test and implement Actuarial projection models (Prophet).
• Analyse and specify data requirements for prophet model inputs and outputs.
• Modify DCS processes to maintain system integration points with model changes.
• Contribute to data flow processes with the Insurance Data Repository for Prophet inputs/outputs to meet IFRS reporting requirements.
