Mills Oakley's Adelaide Property and Projects & Construction team invites a Lawyer or Associate (1-5 years' PQE) to join their busy practice, working on landmark residential, commercial and mixed-use developments from acquisition through delivery.

You will work directly with Annoushka Scharnberg, a leading industry figure, and gain exposure to development reform, strategic contract drafting, and complex regulatory matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of property law experience.
• Exposure to development projects preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Collaborative, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Due to growth of our Adelaide Property and Projects & Construction team, we are recruiting for a Lawyer or Associate to join to work alongside Annoushka Scharnberg. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work on landmark projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, supporting the full lifecycle from acquisition through to delivery.

You will be working directly with Annoushka Scharnberg, a nationally recognised industry leader and Partner at Mills Oakley. Annoushka serves as South Australia’s first female Vice President of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA) and a UDIA National Director, and is widely regarded for her influential role in shaping planning reform, driving industry improvement, and delivering landmark development projects.

As an award-winning advocate for diversity and the founder of Fierce Females, she is committed to fostering inclusive, high performing teams. Annoushka is also a renowned mentor whose guidance has supported many emerging professionals into senior roles across law, government, and the development sector. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Advise on property acquisitions, disposals, and development structuring

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have between 1-5 years’ experience in property law, and exposure to development projects will be favoured. Candidates with slightly more or less experience may be considered. You will have excellent drafting, attention to detail, negotiation, and communication skills, and be collaborative, proactive, and eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.
