Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific's Retail Property Management Accounting team is seeking a capable finance professional to own monthly reporting and accounting outcomes for a diverse portfolio of retail properties in Sydney.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, perform variance analysis, assist budgeting and forecasting, manage reconciliations, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance is required or pursued.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are important.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and reporting.
  • Analyse property performance and provide variance commentary.
  • Prepare outgoings reconciliations, budgets and wash-ups.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Manage rent measurement and financial reconciliations.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis.
  • Engage with stakeholders internally and externally.

Join CBRE's Retail Property Management Accounting team and take ownership of the financial reporting and accounting outcomes for a portfolio of retail properties. This role offers broad exposure across monthly reporting, budgeting, reconciliations and stakeholder management while working alongside experienced property finance professionals.

The Opportunity:
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and reporting
  • Analyse property performance and provide variance commentary
  • Prepare outgoings reconciliations, budgets and wash-ups
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Manage percentage rent, extended trade and tenant calculations
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, budgets and forecasting
  • Outgoings and direct recovery accruals including operating expenditure accruals, income accruals and analysis
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
About You:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Working towards CA or CPA, or interested in commencing
  • Previous experience within retail or commercial property accounting is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused approach and stakeholder capability
