Job summary

World Fuel is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller/Storeperson to support major project activities through effective warehouse operations, project inventory management, materials coordination, and procurement support.

This hands-on role ensures materials and equipment are available when needed, while working closely with project teams, procurement staff, suppliers, and operations on Defence and other major projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in stores, warehousing, materials management, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Experience in project-driven environments such as defence, engineering, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, heavy industry.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Current MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Licence.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials and equipment.
• Quality control inspections from engineering support documentation.
• Safely load/unload trucks and shipping containers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Conduct stock takes and cycle counts; manage inventory.
• Coordinate material movement between warehouse, project, and locations.
• Assist procurement activities including expediting and supplier coordination.
• Support domestic and international shipments and freight.
