Job summary

First Quantum Minerals is seeking a Projects Cost Controller to support the Cost Control Team in providing accurate costing for inventory and overheads. You will work with multiple projects to ensure correct cost coding, maintain budgets, and deliver timely cost data to project managers.

The role involves using ERP, Excel, and PowerBI to monitor variances, identify cost overruns, and assist with audit-ready documentation across end-to-end cost control and invoicing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Economics preferred.
• 2 years of relevant mining industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Support senior cost controllers across multiple projects.
• Review material requisitions for budget alignment and correct cost codes.
• Set up project budgets and forecasts in ERP.
• Maintain project cost forecasts across projects in Excel.
• Provide monthly variance analysis and cost reporting.
• Assist with supplier cost discrepancies and PO variations.
• Ensure documentation for audits and approvals.
• Utilize PowerBI for cost control reporting.
