Job summary

Protech are seeking a Civil Project Systems Representative to support the delivery of transport infrastructure upgrades across the Gold Coast. The role is site-based and focused on quality assurance and project systems, with about 60% site office and 40% field work.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and construction crews to ensure projects meet specifications, quality requirements and client expectations. Mentoring and on-the-job training are provided.

Protech are currently seeking a Civil Project Systems Representative to support the delivery of transport infrastructure upgrades across the Gold Coast.

This role will be site-based and focused on quality assurance and project systems, with approximately 60% site office and 40% field work. You will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and construction crews to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with specifications, quality requirements and client expectations.

This position would suit an experienced civil construction professional looking to move into a quality-focused role, or an undergraduate/graduate Civil Engineer seeking practical site-based experience within the civil construction industry. Full mentoring and on-the-job training will be provided. Our client provides transport infrastructure solutions throughout Queensland, specialising in the construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of roads, bridges and associated infrastructure assets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Immediate start
• Casual role with fortnightly pay
• Duration: 6-12 months
• Day shift roster
• 76-hour fortnight
• Construction industry allowances applicable
• $42.95 – $48.34 p/h (inclusive of casual loading), depending on skills and experience
• Gold Coast location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with implementing and maintaining project quality systems and procedures
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks on civil construction works
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and inspection test plans
• Complete quality documentation, checklists and reports using digital platforms and iPads
• Assist with the management of project resources to ensure operational efficiency
• Coordinate activities of subcontractors, suppliers and internal resources to ensure smooth project delivery
• Assist with identifying project risks and implementing quality requirements prior to commencing activities
• Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements
• Review project processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Support Project Managers and Supervisors with project planning and delivery
• Assist with supplier and material quality verification
• Maintain effective communication across project teams and stakeholders
• Support the development and implementation of project plans and quality processes

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Construction Industry White Card
• Current C Class Driver Licence
• Strong communication and written reporting skills
• Competent using technology, including tablets and digital reporting systems
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Understanding of quality procedures and documentation

DESIRABLE

• Civil construction experience, preferably within road construction
• Certificate III in Civil Construction or higher
• First Aid Certificate
• Previous experience in project coordination, supervision, quality assurance or project administration
• 5+ years of civil construction field experience

IDEAL CANDIDATE
