Job summary

The role requires overseeing Zone Supervisors, coordinating with the Project Manager, and maintaining rigorous schedules and quality controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of skilled trade/engineering experience in roadway, structure, and bridge construction.
• Minimum 1 year of leading and managing people.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety, environment, and EEO/DBE guidelines.
• Complete knowledge of the contract and programs that drive the project.
• Ability to obtain Advanced DOT Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage Zone Superintendents to ensure completion of condition assessments of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation, tunnels, and other contract requirements.
• Direct and advise Zone Supervisors; determine best approach for asset bringing into contract compliance.
• Monitor operational and financial performance; prepare reports and recommendations for management.
• Serve as technical advisor to Zone Superintendents and subcontractors.
• Review schedules, budgets, timelines and safe operations with PM on scheduled work.
• Inspect in-process and completed work for contract compliance.
• Act as a communication link between Project Manager and operations personnel.
• Ensure direct reports supervise, schedule, and evaluate personnel; coach on management techniques.
• Obtain, inspect, and control fleet and project assets.
• Prepare timesheets, budgeting, and MMIS data accuracy; support customer service logs.
• Coordinate with Admin for timely resolutions of issues.
