Job summary

Kitchens by Peter Gill, based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, is seeking a Production Manager to own the production department from planning to final installation. You will work closely with Sales & Estimating to ensure seamless handover to production and on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role offers a genuine leadership position, with the MD reporting line and the Bayswater factory at the heart of operations. A strong background in custom joinery and team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of how custom joinery is manufactured and installed.
• Experience leading workshop or installation teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to schedule multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
• Positive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Desirable: Production Manager, Factory Manager or Workshop Manager experience.
• Desirable: Operations or Project Management experience.
• Desirable: Experience implementing systems and process improvements.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the production department and oversee every project from production planning through to final installation. Working closely with Sales & Estimating, you'll ensure projects transition seamlessly into production and are delivered on time, to budget and to the high standard Kitchens by Peter Gill is known for.

About you
