CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, seeks two Project & Portfolio Support Coordinators to provide strategic, operational and project management support across three programs. You’ll help plan, coordinate and deliver complex projects, strengthening governance, reporting and ways of working.

Working with Research Directors and Teams across multiple sites, you’ll monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver outcomes that support national science priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a medical, science or research discipline, or demonstrated project management experience.
• Ability to understand research concepts and work within research environments.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to coordinate activities through to completion.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt as priorities change.
• Proven ability to build professional relationships with multiple Project Leaders.
• Ability to work autonomously while providing timely information to stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and ability to handle competing priorities.
• Proactive development of internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate project management activities across multiple research projects to meet scope, timelines and budgets.
• Support Project Leaders with planning, monitoring, execution, reporting and closure.
• Monitor progress, risks, milestones and dependencies, escalate issues when required.
• Coordinate project support needs including contracts, procurement, equipment and stakeholder engagement.
• Connect Project Leaders with enterprise services including Finance, Communications, Legal and Digital Services.
• Contribute to portfolio planning, governance and reporting with quality financial and operational information.
• Build productive relationships with researchers, collaborators, clients and service teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve project and portfolio systems and contribute to process improvements.
