Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria is seeking a Project Officer to help improve how Victoria's prison system works and to support safety-focused projects across custodial operations. You will gather information, monitor risks, liaise with staff and stakeholders, and deliver projects on time within a complex operating environment.
The role requires strong organisation, clear communication and teamwork, and reports to the Senior Continuous Improvement Officer.
The Project Officer reports to Senior Continuous Improvement Officer in Continuous Improvement and is responsible for contributing to a range of work that strengthens operations and enhances safety.
In this role you will respond to emerging risks and issues by liaising with a variety of staff and stakeholders, gathering information and data and delivering a variety of outcomes and projects within tight timeframes and within a complex operating environment.
The Project Officer will need to be organised, detailed focussed, have strong record keeping, communicate effectively and work well alone and in a team.
As Project Officer, you will support projects that improve prison operations and safety. You will gather information, track risks and help deliver work on time.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly desirable.
