Job summary

Northrop Consulting Engineers is seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer Buildings to support planning, design coordination and technical assurance of mechanical building services. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client requirements, standards and performance objectives.

You will apply mechanical engineering principles to review designs, coordinate building services and oversee BIM models, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project specs

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering principles to review, assess and coordinate building services designs and engineering solutions.
• Plan, organise and oversee design coordination activities to ensure technical, operational and project requirements are achieved.
• Review engineering documentation, calculations, specifications and BIM models to verify compliance with project requirements, Australian Standards and design intent.
• Identify, assess and resolve technical risks, design clashes and constructability issues affecting project performance and delivery.
• Contribute specialist engineering advice relating to mechanical systems, materials, equipment selection, performance and installation requirements.
• Monitor and communicate engineering risks, technical decisions and project outcomes to clients and project stakeholders.
• Support quality assurance processes, technical reviews and engineering compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in managing project resources, deliverables and commercial performance to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
