Job summary

HR Partners in Australia is seeking a Project Manager for Waste & Resource Recovery to partner with a major South East Queensland local government body. The role delivers critical infrastructure to reduce environmental risks, install wastewater facilities, and improve environmental outcomes across Council facilities.

The role requires hands-on project management, lifecycle oversight, scheduling, budgeting, KPI tracking, procurement leadership, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of landfill, waste infrastructure, and leachate management projects.
• Ensure strict environmental compliance and implement operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage project lifecycles - develop schedules, manage budgets, track KPIs, and mitigate risk.
• Lead end-to-end procurement and contract administration for external suppliers and consultants.
• Coordinate cross-functional internal teams, site personnel, and external vendors.
• Champion site safety, schedule adherence, and budget control, applying Agile methodologies where relevant.

About the Role

Partner with one of South East Queensland's largest local government organisations to deliver critical Waste & Resource Recovery infrastructure projects. You will provide hands-on project management to deliver critical infrastructure aimed at reducing environmental risks, installing wastewater infrastructure, and improving environmental outcomes across Council's Waste Management Facilities
