Job summary

Randstad NV in Brisbane region seeks an experienced Project Manager/Civil-Environmental Engineer to deliver critical waste & resource recovery infrastructure projects for a South East Queensland local government body. You will manage end-to-end delivery, ensuring environmental compliance and safety.

The role involves budgets, schedules, KPIs, procurement, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors. A strong background in leachate management and regulatory standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering small-to-medium civil, waste and wastewater infrastructure.
• Proven track record in landfill, waste, or environmental infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of leachate management systems and regulatory standards.
• Strong contract management, procurement, and contractor coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder management in regulated environments.
• Qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of landfill, waste infrastructure, and leachate management projects.
• Ensure environmental compliance and implement operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage project lifecycles - schedules, budgets, KPIs, and risk mitigation.
• Lead end-to-end procurement and contract administration for external suppliers and consultants.
• Coordinate cross-functional internal teams, site personnel, and external vendors.
• Champion site safety, schedule adherence, and budget control, applying Agile methodologies where relevant.
