Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 26 Oct 2026 – 28 Feb 2027 contract in Narangba, QLD to drive Waste & Resource Recovery projects. You will lead landfill and waste infrastructure initiatives, coordinating contractors and ensuring environmental compliance.

The role focuses on leachate management, regulatory adherence, and delivering safe, on-time outcomes within budget. Local government or regulated environments experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing landfill, waste, or environmental infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of leachate management systems and environmental compliance.
• Proven project and contract management experience.
• Experience managing contractors and external suppliers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in local government or highly regulated settings is advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or related discipline.

Location:Narangba, QLD (North Brisbane / Moreton Bay Region)
A leading local government organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of key Waste & Resource Recovery projects. This role has a strong focus on landfill operations, leachate management and environmental compliance, making it ideal for someone with demonstrated experience in the waste, environmental or utilities sectors.
This is a hands-on contract position where you'll manage projects from initiation through to completion, working closely with operational teams, contractors and technical stakeholders to deliver practical and compliant outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage landfill and waste infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery

Contract Details:

• Competitive daily rate of $900 - $1,100 + Super
• 36.25-hour working week
• Monday to Friday schedule
