Medical Indemnity Protection Society Ltd (MIPS) in Melbourne is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Transformation Program on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage end-to-end delivery across teams and with external partners to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.

Reporting to the Program Director, you will develop plans, coordinate resources and governance, and build strong stakeholder relationships while supporting continuous improvement and process redesign

• 5 years of experience delivering projects in technology, data or business transformation.
• Strong PM, stakeholder engagement, risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with process design and redesign.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and external vendors.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Manager to join our Transformation Program in Melbourne on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Program Director, you’ll manage the end-to-end delivery of key projects and workstreams, working across the business and with external partners to deliver outcomes to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the delivery of assigned transformation projects and workstreams.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, budgets and resourcing.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders and external vendors.
• Manage project governance, including reporting, RAID logs and change control.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
• Prepare clear reporting for SteerCos and program governance forums.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and keep teams aligned on progress and priorities.
• Support continuous improvement and process redesign initiatives.

About You

You’ll bring:

• Around 5 years’ experience managing projects or workstreams within technology, data or business transformation programs.
• Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in process design and redesign.
• Confidence working across multiple teams, stakeholders and external vendors.
• Experience with project management and reporting tools such as MS Project, Jira and SharePoint.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• The right to work in Australia.

Experience in an APRA-regulated environment, telephony systems implementation or indemnity claims management, and project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or AgilePM will be highly regarded.
