JK Formwork is looking for an experienced Project Manager or Project Engineer to join our growing civil construction team in Brisbane.

We specialise in civil formwork and concrete construction, working across a range of infrastructure and civil projects throughout South East Queensland.

PROJECT MANAGER / PROJECT ENGINEER

The Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands civil construction and is comfortable managing projects from planning through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating civil construction projects
• Programming and planning works
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Procurement of materials and subcontractors
• Liaising with clients, engineers, supervisors and site crews
• Preparing and managing variations
• Tracking project costs, quantities and progress
• Assisting with estimating and tendering
• Managing project documentation and QA requirements
• Monitoring safety, quality and programme requirements
• Attending site and client meetings
• Helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer or Site Engineer within civil construction
• Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualifications preferred
• Strong understanding of civil drawings and specifications
• Experience with concrete and/or formwork highly regarded
• Good commercial awareness and ability to manage project costs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Australian construction experience preferred
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Full Australian working rights

Experience working with civil contractors, councils, TMR or major infrastructure contractors would be highly regarded.
