Job summary

Airservices Australia invites a seasoned Project Manager to lead delivery across the Enterprise Network Modernisation Program (ENMP). You will manage scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder engagement to deliver critical telecommunications upgrades for Australian aviation.

Reporting to the ENMP Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate technical teams, vendors and governance processes, ensuring outcomes align with strategic objectives and organisational standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ project management experience within a Systems Engineering environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large and complex projects involving MSPs and/or third-party vendors.
• Strong planning capability across schedules, resources, dependencies, budgets and deliverables.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior leaders and external partners.

Responsibilities

The Role & The Team

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Enterprise Network Modernisation Program (ENMP), a multi-year program transforming our telecommunications platforms and delivering the network capability required to support critical operational and corporate services now and into the future.

Reporting to the ENMP Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of assigned projects and lead their delivery across scope, schedule and budget. A key focus will be completing the delivery phase of the new network, working closely with technical teams, internal stakeholders and a managed service provider to achieve successful business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex projects from planning through to successful delivery, ensuring agreed scope, time, budget and quality outcomes are achieved.
• Coordinate technical resources, work packages, dependencies and project schedules.
• Work collaboratively with managed service providers, third-party vendors, technical leads and subject matter experts.
• Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where required.
• Monitor project financials, forecasts, deliverables and progress.
• Develop key project artefacts and provide clear and timely project reporting.
• Work closely with the ENMP PMO to ensure delivery aligns with organisational project management frameworks, governance requirements and stage gates.

The Person

You’ll be an experienced Project Manager who is comfortable operating in a complex, technical and highly governed environment.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 10+ years’ project management experience within a Systems Engineering environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large and complex projects involving managed service providers and/or third-party vendors.
• Strong planning capability across schedules, resources, dependencies, budgets and deliverables.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.
