Job summary

de Witt Consulting in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Charlestown team and lead projects from concept through to construction. You will manage a diverse portfolio, coordinate consultants and stakeholders, and keep programmes, costs, quality and commercial outcomes on track.

You will work across development, approvals, design and delivery, ensuring compliance with approvals and project requirements while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management, development, construction or consulting.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• An understanding of the NSW planning and development process.
• Experience in land development, subdivisions, civil infrastructure or building projects would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects from concept and approval through to construction and completion.
• Developing and maintaining project programmes, milestones and key deliverables.
• Coordinating consultants, contractors, authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Managing the development and statutory approval process.
• Monitoring project budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Identifying and managing contractual, programme and project risks.
• Chairing and coordinating project meetings and ensuring actions are followed through.
• Providing clear and timely project reporting to clients and management.
• Ensuring project teams are working in accordance with approvals, specifications and project requirements.
• Maintaining appropriate project records and documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
