Job summary

TKMS Sonartech Atlas, an Australian OEM of Undersea Warfare technologies, is seeking a Project Manager – Commercial Support to drive bid development and ensure compliant, high-quality proposals for Australian and international customers.

Based in Macquarie Park with hybrid work options, you will coordinate with sales, technical and operations teams through the full bid lifecycle, from pre-tender to contract handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience in selecting and managing sub-contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Defence RFIs, RFTs, EOIs and procurement panels, particularly ASDEFCON.
• Australian citizenship and NV1 Defence Security Clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of commercial bids to customers.
• Generate pricing, schedules and Letters of Offer for commercial responses.
• Ensure submissions meet customer requirements, governance, and are achievable and profitable.
• Coordinate content from subject matter experts and edit submissions for consistency and compliance.
• Manage bid pipelines and contribute to business development planning.
• Ensure contractual requirements are understood before submission.
• Coordinate stakeholder activities until handover to project delivery team.
• Maintain proposal templates, tools, response libraries and post-bid documentation.
• Manage development of tender packages for subcontractors.

We are looking for a motivated individual with proven project and bid management experience who is looking to grow their commercial and bid-management skills to support our exciting work in AUKUS Pilar 1 & Pilar 2 technologies.

Based in Macquarie Park, the Project Manager – Commercial Support (PM-CS) is responsible for supporting Sales and Programs functions in the development of high-quality, compliant and compelling commercial bids and proposals for both Australian and international customers. Working closely with sales, technical and operations teams, the PM-CS supports the entire bid lifecycle, from pre-tender opportunity qualification and solution development through to contract award and handover to project execution.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of commercial bids to customers.

• Ensure all submissions are compliant with customer requirements, company governance, are achievable and profitable.

Required experience and qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience in selecting and managing sub-contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Defence RFIs, RFTs, EOIs and procurement panels, particularly ASDEFCON.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance of NV1 is essential. Must be an Australian citizen.
• Defence industry or ADF experience will be highly regarded.
