Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz Australia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of defence projects in maritime and integrated systems. You'll manage the full lifecycle with a focus on below-the-line acquisition, working with defence agencies and industry partners.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor schedules and budgets, develop CCPs and tenders, and drive value for customers while upholding compliance and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating as a Project Manager.
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional Project Management certification (PMP, AIPM, PRINCE2, MSP, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience in "below the line" (Supplier side) or acquisition project management.
• Ability to analyse and interpret project performance against agreed plans and develop strategies to achieve outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability in planning, preparing and transition successful CCPs or tenders into executable programs.
• Experience preparing professional correspondence, briefs, and reports for internal and external audiences.
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
• Eligibility to obtain Australian Government Security Clearances (Baseline, NV1, NV2).

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Programs, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and successful delivery of defence projects in the Maritime and integrated systems domains working with a variety of defence and defence industry agencies. This role focuses predominantly on "below the line" activities with a strong emphasis on technology and capability delivery acquisition, encompassing the full project management lifecycle.

The Person

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering highly complex, compliance-focused projects, particularly within the Maritime and Defence Space. With strong business acumen and a collaborative leadership style, you will be experienced in delivering project outcomes in complex environments for our customers.
