Job summary

Azure [Global] is looking for an experienced construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale residential projects in Brisbane, from commencement through to handover, with support from a full site team.

You will drive programs, budgets and commercial outcomes, manage risks and stakeholders, uphold quality, safety and regulatory standards, and mentor the project team to achieve high performance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Property Development or related.
• End-to-end construction lifecycle experience.
• Experience leading, managing and mentoring project teams.
• Strong programming, procurement and commercial management knowledge.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong commercial awareness to identify risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from construction start to handover.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from commencement through to completion.

We are a commercial developer and builder of large scale residential communities.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving project programs, commercial outcomes, quality, safety and stakeholder relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to a high standard. You’ll lead and develop the project team while proactively managing risks, opportunities and competing project priorities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead projects from construction commencement through to completion and handover

Develop, maintain and monitor project programs, milestones and delivery priorities

Manage project budgets, procurement, cost reporting and commercial outcomes

Lead subcontractor and supplier procurement, negotiations and contract administration

Proactively identify and manage project risks, opportunities and potential delays

Ensure projects meet quality, WHS, environmental, contractual and statutory requirements

Manage variations, extensions of time, progress claims and contractual obligations

Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal stakeholders

Lead, mentor and develop project team members, fostering accountability and high performance

Oversee defects, commissioning, handover and project close-out

Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned to strengthen future project delivery

About You

You’ll be an experienced construction professional who combines strong project delivery capability with commercial acumen, leadership and the ability to confidently manage multiple stakeholders.

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Property Development or a related discipline

Demonstrated experience across the end-to-end construction project lifecycle

Experience leading, managing and mentoring project teams

Strong understanding of construction processes, programming, procurement and commercial management

Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills

Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against project deadlines

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and opportunities

Highly Desirable:

Previous experience delivering modular construction projects is highly regarded

Experience working within a fast-paced construction or property development environment

Strong understanding of project financials, cost reporting and forecasting
