• Level 9, $138,698 - $145,268 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation

The Opportunity

Join UniSC and play a pivotal role in delivering an established and growing government-funded business short courses project that supports businesses across Queensland. Working within the School of Business and Creative Industries, this role is responsible for the operational leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of a large-scale learning initiative designed to strengthen business planning capability and long-term sustainability.

You will oversee the planning, delivery, governance and ongoing enhancement of a complex, externally funded program. You will bring together academic expertise, industry engagement, educational technology and operational excellence to ensure courses are delivered to the highest standard while meeting university and government requirements.

This is an opportunity to shape a flagship program with meaningful impact, leading a multidisciplinary team and building strong partnerships with government, industry and university stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening workforce capability, business resilience and economic sustainability across Queensland communities.

You will

• lead the end-to-end delivery, performance and continuous improvement of a statewide business short courses project, ensuring quality outcomes for participants and stakeholders;
• build and lead a high-performing team while overseeing course delivery, educational technologies, resource planning and operational excellence across multiple cohorts and locations;
• develop strong partnerships with government, industry and university stakeholders, providing strategic advice, governance, reporting and risk management to support program success; and
• manage budgets, systems and performance frameworks, using data and stakeholder insights to drive innovation, accountability and long-term sustainability.

About you

You are a strategic and delivery-focused leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys bringing people together to achieve meaningful outcomes. You combine strong project management expertise with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and have a track record of delivering high-quality learning, training or professional development programs at scale.

You are equally comfortable leading teams, managing operational priorities, navigating governance requirements and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement. Most importantly, you are motivated by creating impact through education and partnership.

You will possess:

• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality blended or HyFlex learning programs across multiple locations and cohorts.
• Strong expertise in project governance, risk management and operational improvement.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build productive relationships with academic, industry and government stakeholders.
• Experience using educational technologies and learning management systems to support engaging learning outcomes.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing high-level reports and project documentation.
• Financial and workforce management capability, including budget oversight and resource planning.
• Strong judgement, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
