The Opportunity

The School of Business and Creative Industries is seeking an organised and collaborative Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a four-year Queensland Government-funded project supporting the Queensland business community.

The project delivers a suite of non-credit bearing business short courses designed to build business capability and support long‑term sustainability through the development, application and implementation of practical planning tools. Building on six years of successful course delivery and ongoing refinement, the project is entering its next phase of delivery and continued impact.

In this role, you will coordinate participant‑facing operations across multiple courses and cohorts, working closely with academic and professional staff, facilitators, government and industry stakeholders to support high‑quality, accessible and engaging learning experiences.

You will
  • coordinate the planning, implementation and ongoing delivery of micro‑credential courses, ensuring activities, timelines and participant processes are effectively managed;
  • work collaboratively with academic staff, facilitators, government and industry stakeholders to support course delivery, participant engagement and project outcomes; and
  • oversee learning systems, course communications, resources and evaluation activities, using participant and project data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About you

You are an organised, proactive and collaborative project professional with experience coordinating educational programs, projects or initiatives in a university or similar environment. You bring strong organisational and digital skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple activities and maintain attention to detail. You are a confident communicator who can build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders and use initiative and sound judgement to resolve issues and improve processes. Experience with micro‑credentials, short courses, learning management systems or government‑funded programs will be highly regarded.

You will possess:
  • A relevant degree and demonstrated experience in project coordination, program administration or a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering micro‑credentials, short courses, educational programs or similar initiatives in a tertiary or comparable environment;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work effectively with academic, industry, government and diverse participant groups;
  • Well‑developed digital and learning systems capabilities, including experience with learning management systems such as Canvas and participant or enrolment processes;
  • Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands, coordinate multiple activities and deliver within deadlines; and
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to interpret information, develop practical recommendations and contribute to continuous improvement in a complex environment.
