Job summary

Bryant Building Contractors in Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. You will own the delivery of complex building and construction projects from initiation to completion, coordinating scope, program, budget, quality and stakeholder relations to meet contractual requirements.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will lead site Supervisors and project staff, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, environmental and quality standards are met while maintaining

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' experience in a Project Management role within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong planning, budgeting, procurement and progress-claim experience.
  • Sound knowledge of construction contracts and contractual requirements.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Current Driver Licence and Construction White Card.
  • Ability to travel where required.
  • Builders Licence will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion, ensuring scope, budget and program are met.
  • Define project goals and deliverables with senior management, clients and stakeholders.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor timelines, budgets, costs and quality performance including subcontractors.
  • Source, engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers with contracts and performance.
  • Provide leadership to site Supervisors and project staff across the team.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environment and quality requirements (BIMS).
  • Prepare and review progress claims, PO's and project reporting.
  • Liaise with clients, architects and engineers to meet contractual obligations.
  • Identify and manage project risks, changes to scope and contingency planning.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Toowoomba-based team.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of building and construction projects from commencement through to completion. You will lead and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, managing scope, program, budget, quality and stakeholder relationships to ensure contractual requirements are met and projects achieve successful outcomes for both Bryant and our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion, meeting scope, budget and program requirements
  • Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, clients and other stakeholders
  • Plan, schedule and monitor project timelines, budgets, costs and quality performance, including subcontractors
  • Source, engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including quotes, contracts and performance
  • Provide leadership and direction to Site Supervisors and project support staff across the project team
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements, and Bryant’s Integrated Management System (BIMS)
  • Prepare and review progress claims, purchase orders and project reporting
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure contractual and quality obligations are met
  • Identify and manage project risks, changes to scope and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle
About You
  • Minimum five years' experience in a Project Management role within the construction industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline are preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing building and construction projects
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgets, cost control, procurement and progress claims
  • Sound knowledge of construction contracts and contractual requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings and project documentation
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental performance
  • Current Driver Licence and Construction White Card
  • Ability to travel where required
  • Builders Licence will be highly regarded
