Role Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of small to medium complexity customer projects, taking ownership of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk from initiation through to closure. This role builds strong working relationships with customers and internal teams, communicates clearly and proactively with all stakeholders, and applies structured planning and problem-solving skills to keep projects on track. The Project Manager works closely with the Technical Lead and wider delivery team to ensure work is understood, resourced, and delivered to the expected standard, while maintaining accurate financial and status reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Financial Management
  • Maintain planned and actual project costs, including change requests, to achieve optimum margin.
  • Accurately and consistently maintain time and expense records, invoicing, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Resource Management and Practice teams to allocate project resources.
  • Follow Professional Services best practices for project closure, ensuring financials are accurate and complete, and lead the project closure meeting with the customer.
  • Track project costs effectively throughout delivery.
Planning, Scope & Governance
  • Create clear project plans, including milestones, critical path tasks, and a RAID log, and maintain these throughout the project.
  • Build and maintain a realistic, up-to-date project management plan for projects typically up to 6 months in duration.
  • Facilitate the gathering and validation of estimates for small to medium projects.
  • Manage and negotiate scope on complex projects to optimise value for both the customer and the business, ensuring change requests are controlled and the organisation does not become over-committed.
  • Ensure project team members and customer resources clearly understand their roles, responsibilities, and assigned tasks.
  • Establish and maintain project governance and meeting cadence in line with Professional Services guidelines.
Risk & Issue Management
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of risk management approach, including timely escalation to management.
  • Identify and manage potential risk mitigation actions, and successfully mitigate complex risks without compromising delivery quality.
  • Identify and elevate issues in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Balance competing project constraints (scope, time, cost, quality) to keep delivery on track.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
  • Provide regular, accurate written and verbal project status updates to customers and senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Manage customer expectations and responsibilities in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Manage the overall customer experience on the project, balancing customer satisfaction with organisational goals such as revenue, margin, and product roadmap alignment.
  • Work with the Technical Lead to ensure deliverable quality is maintained at the appropriate level and that the team works to expected norms.
Track Record
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects with budgets greater than €100K and team sizes greater than five.
