Job summary

Duratec is seeking a seasoned construction professional to lead end-to-end NPI project delivery from our Canning Vale office. You will drive Electrical and Mechanical projects across Northern WA sites, building high-performing teams and ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The role demands exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and conflict management, with a track record of delivering complex projects in challenging environments.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline, or a recognised trade qualification with substantial project delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Electrical or Mechanical projects.
  • Strong commercial and contractual management including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary project teams across complex environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on project delivery responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring safety, quality, time and cost outcomes.
  • Drive commercial performance through budgeting, forecasting, contract administration and variation management.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to Project Managers, Site Managers and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and delivery challenges.
  • Ensure all projects comply with HSEQ, quality assurance and contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to business growth through client engagement and strategic project planning.

THE ROLE

Based in Canning Vale, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of NPI, Electrical, Mechanical, and fuel infrastructure projects across Northern WA sites. We are seeking a proven construction professional with substantial experience delivering Electrical or Mechanical scopes in complex project environments.

Success in this role will be underpinned by outstanding leadership, communication, and conflict management skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, navigate competing priorities, and achieve project outcomes safely, efficiently, and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring successful outcomes across safety, quality, time and cost
  • Drive commercial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, contract administration and variation management
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to Project Managers, Site Managers and project teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, opportunities and delivery challenges
  • Ensure all projects comply with HSEQ, quality assurance and contractual obligations
  • Contribute to business growth through client engagement, repeat work opportunities and strategic project planning
About You
  • Fuel Infrastructure exposure is highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or a recognised trade qualification with substantial project delivery experience
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering Electrical or Mechanical projects
  • Strong commercial and contractual management capability, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams across complex project environments
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on project delivery responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management platforms
