A remarkable opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager that will see you deliver the plan, control and managing delivery of exciting business projects over the full project lifecycle (design, build, test, deployment, embed) in order to meet the agreed business needs through identifying and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of safety, cost, timescales and quality.

This role can be based in Southbank &/or Malvern and can be discussed with the successful incumbent with a hybrid split also of Office/WFH. This role is part of the Network Connections team within the Distribution line of business.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

• Lead, plan and manage the delivery of initiatives/projects for the Distribution Delivery team
• Adhere to project management framework, tools, processes and reporting principles
• Ensure Project Management Plan including project schedules with deliverables, milestones and dates are agreed and signed off, and aligned as per PMP’s
• Ensure appropriate governance frameworks and accountabilities are defined and actively in place and aligned to the Business Project Governance
• Participate in in-flight reviews and health checks of projects and make solid recommendations for actions
• Provide leadership, expertise and guidance to key stakeholders in project managing delivery of business/technology initiatives
• Establish and manage relationships and commercial contracts with product suppliers and delivery partners
• Effective internal and external stakeholder management

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

• Experience in Energy Distribution Networks, i.e. electricity distribution, electricity transmission and/or gas, preferred
• Demonstrated ability to achieve targets i.e. timelines, budget, quality, safety
• Committed to the safety of the community, as a whole and employees engaged in the provision of services
• Well-developed report writing and presentation skills
• Effective interpersonal, negotiating and facilitating skills
• Degree qualified in Project Management / Business or equivalent technical qualifications or Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) with AIPM
