Job summary

First Nations Jobs is seeking a Project Manager for our Energy & Utilities portfolio. You will oversee distribution networks, secondary systems, substations and transmissions with travel to sites, based from Hexham, NSW.

Responsibilities include leading tender submissions, developing plans, and delivering projects within safety, cost and schedule targets, applying risk management and AS/NZS standards as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Project Management and Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
• CPSPM certification with AIPM is highly desirable.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting and reporting demanded.
• Subcontracting and procurement management experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6 and risk tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead tender submissions and project delivery.
• Manage scope, design, and construction methodologies.
• Develop and manage financial WBS and project schedules.
• Estimate costs, assess risks, and implement mitigations.
• Ensure delivery within safety, cost, time and quality targets.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Project Manager to join our Energy & Utilities Business, managing distribution network, secondary systems, substation and transmissions projects across NSW. This role will be based out of our Hexham office with regular travel to site.

What You'll Do

Role requirements include leading the development of tender submissions and project delivery including: scope management, design management, determining construction methodologies, financial WBS and schedule development, request for quotations, cost estimation, risk assessment and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, development and implementation project plans and overall delivery responsibility for assigned projects. Projects must be completed within agreed stakeholder parameters of safety, cost, time and quality that meet our business objectives while fully complying to Downer Standard.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma in Project Management and Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred
• Extensive Energy Supply Industry experience
• CPSPM certification with AIPM
• Financial management, budgeting and reporting
• Subcontract / Procurement management
• Competent in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, Expert Estimator, @Risk analysis
• Understanding of relevant AS/NZ/ISO standards and NSW Electrical Industry legislation
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management and Environmental principles
