Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities seeks a Project Manager to lead distribution network, secondary systems, substations and transmissions projects across NSW from the Hexham office with regular site travel.

You will manage tender submissions and project delivery, including scope management, design, construction methodologies, cost estimation, risk assessment and scheduling, ensuring safety, cost and quality objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Extensive Energy Supply Industry experience.
• CPSPM certification with AIPM.
• Financial management, budgeting and reporting.
• Subcontract / Procurement management.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and Primavera P6; @Risk analysis.
• Knowledge of AS/NZS/ISO standards and NSW Electrical Industry legislation.
• Commitment to OH&S, Quality Management and Environmental principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead tender submissions and project delivery including scope & design management.
• Determine construction methodologies, cost estimation, and schedule development.
• Develop financial WBS and ensure tight cost control.
• Manage RFQs, risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement project plans and deliver projects within safety, time and budget constraints.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Project Manager to join our Energy & Utilities Business, managing distribution network, secondary systems, substation and transmissions projects across NSW. This role will be based out of our Hexham office with regular travel to site.

What You'll Do

Role requirements include leading the development of tender submissions and project delivery including: scope management, design management, determining construction methodologies, financial WBS and schedule development, request for quotations, cost estimation, risk assessment and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, development and implementation project plans and overall delivery responsibility for assigned projects. Projects must be completed within agreed stakeholder parameters of safety, cost, time and quality that meet our business objectives while fully complying to Downer Standard.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma in Project Management and Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred
