Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical infrastructure renewal and capital works on the City of Gold Coast program. You will oversee multiple work packages from planning through close-out, manage contractors and client stakeholders, and ensure delivery safety, on time, and within budget.

The role focuses on brownfield installations within operational environments, with responsibilities for safety, cost control and delivering meaningful community

Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking to lead critical infrastructure projects that make a real impact on the community?

GCI Solutions is seeking a motivated and commercially astute Electrical PM to join our Asset Lifecycle Delivery Services (ALDS) program, delivering renewal and capital works projects in partnership with the City of Gold Coast. In this role, you'll take ownership of multiple project work packages from planning and estimating through to execution and close-out, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

You will lead the successful delivery of electrical infrastructure and capital works projects while managing project teams, subcontractors, delivery partners, and key client stakeholders.

A key focus of this role will be the management of brownfield electrical infrastructure projects, including:

• Switchboard upgrades and replacements
• Electrical infrastructure renewal and upgrade works
• Brownfield installation and construction activities within operational environments
• Coordination of electrical contractors, commissioning activities, and stakeholder interfaces
• Management of safety, quality, commercial performance, and project delivery outcomes

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical work packages and projects simultaneously
• Lead project planning, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Manage subcontractors and delivery partners throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out activities
• Drive project performance across safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives
• Mentor and support Project Engineers and Supervisors to build team capability
• Identify and manage project risks while implementing practical solutions to delivery challenges

About You

You are a proven project leader with strong electrical project delivery experience and a collaborative approach to stakeholder management.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience delivering electrical capital works projects
• Experience managing brownfield electrical infrastructure upgrades and renewals
• Strong commercial and financial management capability, including budgeting and forecasting
• Experience managing subcontractors and delivery partners
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental performance
• Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure, or related industries will be highly regarded
• Certificate IV in Project Management or higher (or equivalent experience)
