Job summary

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Brisbane-based team. You will lead multidisciplinary groups to deliver EPC or EPCM mining projects, focusing on safety, schedule, and budget while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires a background in professional engineering or trades, with 10+ years in construction/project management. On-site leadership and regular site visits will be essential to successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in project management within mining or minerals handling.
• Strong leadership and communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of safety legislation and on-site safety practices.
• Experience delivering EPC/EPCM projects on time and to budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead large multidisciplinary teams on site across project lifecycles.
• Drive budget, schedule and overall delivery of EPC/EPCM projects.
• Maintain client relationships and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and company procedures.
• Oversee site plans and assess project risks and mitigations.
• Support design and construction management activities as required.

About Us

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.

The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for experienced Project Manages to join our Project Team working alongside a multidisciplined team to deliver outstanding results across various projects in the mining and minerals industry

Based out of our Brisbane office you would work on various projects across a variety of commodities ( gold ,copper, iron ore etc) with regular site visits depending on project requirements

The Project Managers role is to effectively manage and deliver EPC or EPCM projects and achieve project key performance indicators which will focus on safety outcomes, achieving project schedule, project performance, financial outcomes and quality objectives.

The work requires the coordination of a multi-disciplinary team comprising numerous internal disciplines.

A Typical Day Will Consist Of

• Manage and lead the culture on site for a large multidisciplinary team
• Overseeing all construction operations on site, leading the site works through its various stages from commencement to handover
• Drive budget, schedule and the overall delivery of the project
• Liaise with client representatives and maintain a good client-contractor relationship
• Enforce safe work practices, ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained and supported and that HSE standards are met
• Review site plans to ensure relevance to the project as construction work is progressed through to completion
• Understand and assess potential Project risks and ensure mitigation measures are in place
• Ensure compliance with GRES/Client policies, company standards and safe work procedures

About You

• Experience in a similar role, with at least 10 years experience in a Construction/ Project Management role
• Qualified professional engineering and/or trades skilled background
• Previous design management or construction management experience particularly in the mineral resource or materials handling industries
• Knowledge of current construction and mining industry safety legislation and standards
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Proven leadership skills
• Current National Police clearance
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
