Job summary

Anaman Pty is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Project Manager in Brisbane to drive accommodation and facility projects from concept to delivery at our head office.

You will manage procurement, budgeting, scheduling, site visits, and client relations, ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes while upholding WHS and Anaman policies.

Qualifications

• Urban Development with Construction Management focus.
• Minimum 3 years’ project management in commercial construction.
• Construction Card (Blue or White) and a current Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to manage design, briefs, and construction documents.
• Experience with project costing software and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Begin project with estimating handover, budget setup, and pre-contract requirements.
• Oversee trade procurement per budget, drawings and head contract.
• Develop and maintain project program and schedule.
• Prepare and submit monthly contract progress claims.
• Run monthly internal/external progress reporting.
• Carry out site visits to track progress and safety compliance.
• Address issues with client/subcontractor reps to minimise disputes.
• Complete project handover with manuals and archiving.
• Manage grievances and lead the project team to success.
• Lead and develop the project team for outcomes.

We are looking for a detail oriented, experienced, and organised Project Manager to Join our growing Brisbane head office team. The Project Manager plays a crucial role, taking concept designs through to the successful delivery of accommodation and facility projects. To be successful, you will understand that each project is unique, and you will be committed to putting client relationships first and delivering quality outcomes that suit their operations.

About the role

• Conduct project commencement processes including facilitating the estimating handover, file and budget establishment, and executing pre-condition contractual requirements
• Oversee all trade procurement in accordance with project budget, drawings, specifications and head contract requirements.
• Develop and maintain program.
• Evaluate, produce and submit monthly contract progress claims
• Conduct monthly reporting requirements both internal and external.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, as well as Anaman policies.
• Proactively address issues with client or subcontractor representatives to minimise potential disputes
• Conduct project completion processes including defects management, the completion of operational and maintenance manuals and document archiving
• Manage employee, subcontractor and/or client grievances/ conflict in professional manner to seek timely and satisfactory resolution
• Lead and develop the team.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban Development with a major in Construction Management or similar (may be demonstrated through 5+ years practical project management experience)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, preferably in the commercial construction industry
• Construction Industry Blue or White Card and current Driver’s License
• Capability to manage the entire design process, including developing performance briefs, room data sheets and concept design through to construction documents
• Experience in managing the project cost plan, to detailed estimates, through to project trade budgets
• A proven track record for completing quality projects on time and to budget, while maintaining a positive, safe and productive attitude
• A high degree of commercial acumen and customer focus
• Advanced level knowledge of computerised job costing or project management software such as Jobpac
• Working Knowledge of WHS requirements and risks
• Experience in estimating and tender submission highly desirable
