Job summary

Pinpoint Talent is seeking an ERP Project Manager for a federal government client in Canberra, on an initial 9-month contract. The role is based onsite with responsibilities to deliver and implement an Enterprise Resource Planning system from concept to full deployment.

You will lead complex ICT projects, engage senior stakeholders, and balance strategic oversight with operational delivery within APS governance and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ICT implementations in the Australian Public Service (APS).
• Strong track record across full project lifecycle: requirements, design, data migration, UAT, training, deployment, post-go-live.
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, participate in steering committees and governance.
• Excellent leadership for multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication for executive briefings and reports.
• Solid understanding of APS corporate processes (finance, HR, procurement) and ICT governance.

Responsibilities

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an ERP Project Manager for our federal government client, on an initial 9-month contract, based in Canberra working onsite.

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. You will lead and oversee the project from conception through to full implementation, ensuring that objectives are achieved on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. The role is central to strengthening corporate capability and supporting the broader digital transformation agenda. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a proven track record in managing complex ICT projects, particularly large-scale ERP or enterprise system implementations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management expertise, exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with operational delivery.

• Demonstrated experience delivering ICT implementation projects in the Australian Public Service.
• Strong track record of managing full project lifecycle phases (requirements, design, data migration, UAT, training, deployment, and post-go-live).
• Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including participation in steering committees and executive-level governance.
• Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive briefings and complex reports.
• Solid understanding of APS corporate processes (finance, HR, procurement) and ICT governance.
