Austal, based in Cairns, is seeking a Project Manager to lead defence vessel in-service support and maintenance programs, coordinating multiple delivery streams and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.
Reporting to ABF Program Manager, you will guide multidisciplinary teams, apply project management methodologies, and optimize resources for safe, compliant deliverables. This role offers a dynamic environment and opportunities within a global shipbuilder.
Based in Cairns theProject Manager will be responsible for managingand coordinating multiple projects and delivery streams required for Defence vessel in-service support and maintenance programs. Reporting to the ABF Program Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to budget and quality standards and, in accordance with contract requirements. Leading a multidisciplined team and driving performance with superior customer focus this role is required to deliver on all project objectives. By ensuring appropriate project management methodology and control is applied, the Project Manager will provide leadership to the program team through on the ground support, guidance, and resource optimisation to ensure deliverables are achieved safely and to the required quality standards.
