As a Project Manager in Cairns, you’ll own day-to-day delivery, drive client relationships, and oversee operations and growth of the Cairns office. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects for public sector is preferred.
  • Ability to oversee diverse projects and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key communication lead across clients, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Manage project delivery budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company systems.
  • Lead day-to-day operations and contribute to P&L performance of the Cairns office.
  • Drive business development by maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Drive project delivery with technical excellence and accountability.
  • Contribute to the growth of the office and services.

Your Role

As a Project Manager you’ll own your day-to-day achievements and contribute to the operations, performance, and growth of our Cairns office and surrounding regions. This is a hands‑on delivery role with short‑term growth opportunities towards a leadership role blending strategic oversight, business management, client engagement, and technical project delivery.

You’ll:

Act as the key communication lead across clients, stakeholders, and leadership

Manage project delivery budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and reporting

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company systems

Lead day-to-day operations and contribute to P&L performance of the Cairns office

Drive business development by maintaining strong client relationships

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications in either Engineering, Construction or Architecture are preferred but not essential

Proven experience in client-side project management with public sector experience highly regarded

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with strong focus on achievement

Strong business development and client relationship skills

Technical expertise with the ability to oversee diverse projects

Commercial acumen including contracts, risk, and financial management

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
