Job summary

Bechtel in Brisbane and Sydney seeks an experienced Project IT Manager to lead a team delivering complex IT projects on large infrastructure programs. You will set project IT goals, coordinate resources, and manage budgets to implement the Project Automation Plan.

Applicants must be Australian citizens with eligibility for Australian Government security clearance. This part-time telework role may require at least three in-person days per week at the assigned office or project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering or international equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years in senior roles.
• Experience leading IT operations and delivering complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and information management.
• Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and service performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of IT staff and services on a medium-to-high complexity project.
• Coordinate IS&T resources to develop strategies, staffing and budgets.
• Develop and implements the Project Automation Plan.
• Ensure IS&T procedures adhere to corporate standards.
• Maintain project IT budgets and forecast accuracy.
• Oversee project software portfolio and license management.
• Respond to audits and ensure data lifecycle controls.
• Provide IT onboarding/offboarding and user provisioning.
• Lead security controls implementation and incident response.
