Job summary

Introba is seeking a Project Accountant in Sydney to manage project setups, invoicing, and financial analysis. You will support Principals in Charge with profitable project delivery and learn Introba’s contract management and revenue recognition policies. The role requires proactive, responsive handling of financial processes.

The position emphasizes budgets, monthly revenue testing, and collaborative work with project teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualifications desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of project accounting/billing experience.
• Experience in engineering or other project-oriented firms preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills, Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets and align with scope and objectives.
• Perform monthly revenue analysis, including WIP and backlog.
• Manage project invoicing with accurate, timely billing.
• Forecast and upload budgets and cost estimates into the system.
• Drive cost reduction, margin maximisation and working capital management.
• Partner with PICs/PMs to support project delivery.
• Reconcile subcontractor/supplier statements.
• Assist with general accounting and month-end duties.
• Assist in compiling quarterly and annual audit binders.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with deadlines.
