Job summary

BHP is seeking a Project Engineer for the Copper South Australia/Olympic Dam site with a 4/3 roster and FIFO from Adelaide. The role focuses on remediation of surface assets, delivering safe, reliable operations and partnering with the Surface Asset Integrity Remediation Team within Integrated Operations.

The successful candidate will bring structural engineering credentials, and experience in heavy industry to drive projects, engage stakeholders and ensure compliance with safety and design

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Structural Engineering, with PM or Civil qualifications viewed favourably.
• Experience in mining, processing, heavy industry or construction environments.
• Ability to deliver projects or engineering studies and report to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead remediation projects across Olympic Dam to ensure a safe, reliable operations platform.
• Collaborate with Structural Engineers to develop fit-for-purpose remediation solutions.
• Coordinate with operational and governance stakeholders to ensure practical, safe outcomes.
• Develop scopes of work, manage tendering and support contractor selection processes.
• Monitor project performance against scope, budget and schedule.
